Marshall County VINELink Coverage
Oklahoma VINE is a custody-event and notification service. Participating state and local agencies send it information, and users can search a specific person or ask for notice when a listed event occurs. The Marshall County Sheriff page labels its VINELink link “Inmate Custody Status.” That makes VINE the county-published online status route. It does not make VINE a sheriff-hosted roster, a rolling Marshall County release list, or a certified booking record.
Local coverage still needs a live check. The available official material does not include a current participating-agency list that conclusively names the Marshall County Jail. Search the person, inspect the reporting agency, then call the jail or VINE support if no local record appears. ODOC participation is clearer because the Oklahoma Department of Corrections links its users to Oklahoma VINE. A result reported by ODOC concerns state custody. A result reported by a local jail concerns only that jail episode.

A transfer ends one custody episode but may begin another. An ODOC community-supervision status can mean the person left a secure prison while the sentence remains active. Likewise, a recent Marshall County jail release event is not the same as full discharge from a state sentence. The agency record supplies the needed context.

Marshall County VINE Status Route
The sheriff’s “Inmate Custody Status” label is a useful local clue. Marshall County does not publish its own current roster, recent-release tab, or person-level booking archive. A named-person VINE check is therefore the only county-linked web status path found in the official source review. That distinction matters. VINE can report an event quickly when the booking participates, while the sheriff remains the custodian of the closed booking and release record.

Match Each Marshall Release System
Custody systems should not be blended. Oklahoma VINE may cover ODOC and participating county agencies, but it is not the federal inmate locator or the ICE detainee locator. The last confirmed custodian controls the next step. A Marshall County booking can close because the person transferred to another authority, which is not a community release.

OK Offender has its own limits. It is not a list of every person booked into the Marshall County Jail, and ODOC says its public data is abbreviated. A county bond release may never appear there. Conversely, an ODOC record does not prove the time someone physically left the county jail.
Recent Marshall Release Results
VINELink says its search can include people in custody or those who may have been recently released. That phrasing is important. It supports checking a fresh event, not using VINE as a lifelong archive. If a released result appears, note the status and reporting agency, then request the underlying record. If no result appears, move to the agency record rather than declaring the person released.
Oklahoma’s official Sex and Violent Offender Registry is a different system. It applies only when a person has a qualifying registration duty. A match can help distinguish a person and show registry data, but it does not prove the Marshall County release date or reason. Most released people will not appear there. The registry must never be treated as a general list of former inmates.
The registry and VINE also update for different reasons. VINE follows reported custody events from a participating agency. The registry follows a legal duty that may continue in the community. Compare aliases, physical description, photograph, reported location, offense data, and registration details before deciding that a registry entry concerns the same person. Confirm Marshall County Release Alerts
Automated notice can lag because participating agencies supply the data, systems can go offline, and event types vary. VINELink itself warns against relying on VINE as the sole means of protection. Keep a personal plan that does not depend on one message. Use the alert as a prompt to contact the reporting facility and obtain the corresponding record.
A phone PIN confirms receipt of a call. It does not certify the release facts. The sheriff’s release record is the better source for a Marshall County booking, while ODOC documentation is the better source for a state discharge. A court docket may explain the order behind movement, but it usually does not show the moment the person left the building.
